Huawei Mate 10 Lite is a Great Option for the Midrange Consumer

2017 was one of the best years ever for the smartphone industry. Several new trends took root in the industry this year, with bezel-less screens, dual cameras, and face detection to name a few.
Huawei unveiled its much-anticipated Mate 10 series recently, complete with dual cameras, flagship design and tall 18:9 aspect ratio screens. This was in-line with most of the trends in 2017, however, there is more to what meets the eye with these smartphones.

Huawei Mate 10 Lite

The Mate 10 Lite, in particular, is interesting, as it featured several flagship-level features at a remarkably low price of 273 USD
Huawei Mate 10 Lite features a large 5.9 inch, bezel-less display squeezed into the size of a 5.5-inch smartphone. It is powered by Huawei’s homegrown octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 659 processor with 4 GB RAM, primed for multi-tasking on the fly.

One Of a Kind

Mate 10 Lite has dual cameras on both the front and the back, making it a unique smartphone that stands out among its peers.
But that’s not all, the camera setup on the front features a f/2.0 13MP lens designed for image rendering while the 1.75um 2MP lens captures the depth of field information. Combined, they allow you to take beautiful portrait shots with even lighting.

Intelligent Selfie Flash and Color Rendering

This is just the tip of the iceberg, the soft flash on the front can automatically adjust its brightness depending on the lighting conditions. The selfie flash also has a stunning CRI of 80% (for the sake of comparison, sunlight has a CRI of 100%) one of the best in the industry.
The front cameras ensure colors are rendered more accurately and images are captured as if they are taken in natural sunlight. Skin-tones are more accurate and images are more vibrant.

Adjustable Bokeh-Effect

Moving on to the back of the phone, the 16+2 MP cameras specialize in creating a professional-grade bokeh effect in portrait mode. You can even snap a portrait and adjust the level of focus later on as much as you like.
There are several different bokeh effects, which you can pick and choose to create the perfect shot.
A picture is often said to be worth a thousand words, but what about a moving picture? Huawei Mate 10 Lite can capture two-second micro-videos of images, bringing your pictures to life.
With a saturated smartphone market, it’s often hard to find just the right phone that fits your needs. Huawei Mate 10 Lite checks every box in the mid-range category, with a gorgeous design, smooth day-to-day performance, dual cameras on the front and the back as well as a 2-day battery life with a 3,350 mAh unit.
All in all, it offers a compelling option for anyone willing to buy the best mid-range smartphone available right now.

PUBG Sues Fortnite Founders for Copying Battle Royale

GAMING Battle Royale is all the rage these days. PUGB founders have sued epic games for copying their battle royale formula. The gaming world is awash with players debating and comparing two of the major battle royale games right now, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (usually referred to as PUBG) and Fortnite, however, that could get much more intense in the future. As of latest, the founders of PUBG have sued Epic Games, the company behind Fortnite, for allegedly copying their take on the battle royale formula, as per its filings in a South Korean court. “We filed the suit to protect our copyright,” the company said in a statement released to Korea Times. Fortnite developer Epic Games is yet to release its response to the lawsuit. PUBG’s launch preceded that of Fortnite, being rolled out first in March 2017. Fortnite came much later in July of that year, though, its battle royale mode only came in September. However, as  The Verge  notes, P...
