All Three Variants of Redmi 6A Leak Prior to the Official Launch

Xiaomi Redmi 6A is set to launch in China and its pictures have appeared on TENAA. The listing appeared a few days ago, however, with missing details in the spec sheet so it was hard to guess which one it was exactly.
We covered another listing earlier and of what seems like the Redmi 6. As TENAAposted official renders for the same devices, later on, it was confirmed that it was not a Redmi 6 but actually an entry-level Redmi 6A. Its predecessor is already a popular phone sold in Pakistan, India, and other emerging markets called the Redmi 5A.
Here’s what the 6A looks like,
Redmi 6A Front Back
The design is quite similar to the 5A, a similar rear material finish on a plastic-metal combination. It has a horizontal array housing the rear camera and the flash, while most of the rear is empty as there’s no fingerprint scanner.

“Prime” Version

Interestingly, TENAA’s listings also contain 3 different models for the same design albeit with a fingerprint scanner and dual rear cameras. They might be higher tier versions of the base Redmi 6A, possibly some “prime” version. Other than dual cameras and fingerprint scanner, there’s no difference and most of the internal hardware is the same for all three phones.

All three models house a 5.45-inch HD+ (720 x 1440) display at an 18:9 aspect ratio. Just like last year’s predecessor, they will carry 3000 mAh batteries and measure 147.46×71.49×8.3 mm. There’s Android 8.1 Oreo, and they will likely come with MIUI 10 on top.
There’s still no word on detailed specifications, but we expect that they will come in 2, 3, or 4 GB RAM options powered by a Snapdragon 625. The Redmi 6A lineup is highly likely to launch in Pakistan soon after it gets officially unveiled.
