Apple’s 6.5-inch iPhone X in gold color could arrive in September, report

All three upcoming iPhones are expected to have Face ID, slim bezels, and that ugly looking notch.

Yes, that notch, you hate the most is going to stay, maybe for years until Apple would launch its new silver jubilee smartphone, proposedly iPhone 25X, which will bring the revolutionary design like iPhone X brought after 10 years. I am sure you have taken all of the above with a pinch of salt.
So, what’s the news? Bloomberg is out with a comprehensive report that the Plus-sized version of the iPhone X will have a screen that measures “close to 6.5 inches”, whereas the current iPhone X is only 5.8 inches. Apple is testing prototypes of the larger model with a display resolution of 2688 x 1242. The company is said to be working on a gold color for the new devices as an additional choice including the already available black and white/silver options of the iPhone X.
Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reports that Apple will release three new iPhones this coming September including an upgraded iPhone X, a larger version of that upgraded iPhone X (could be called iPhone X Plus), and a cheaper LCD iPhone that will also have the X’s slim-bezel screen design.
The report also hints that all three upcoming iPhone models will use Face ID for authentication, marking an end to Touch ID in new iPhone products. And the dual-SIM support is likely to be added in the largest upcoming iPhone.
Another leaked image on Twitter seems to support at least one detail from the story. The leakster “Mr-white” revealed three images of the next generation iPhone X and one of them was in gold color. The iPhone X was certainly the first iPhone in years to launch without a gold color option. Apple only sells the premium flagship in Silver and Space Gray, while the iPhone 8 and 8 Plus both have Gold in addition to the other two colors. Looks like now Apple will also include that color option in upcoming iPhones.
The 6.1-inch LCD iPhone would be generating most of the sales for Apple is expected to look very much like an iPhone X and will include Face ID and slimmer bezels. In the meantime, we’re far more interested to see what a 6.5-inch iPhone X Plus looks like, as it will be the largest iPhone ever made.
