Huawei Honor 9 Lite now supports Face Unlock feature


Honor 8 Lite has been a worthy contestant by Huawei’s sub-brand Honor, launched the last year in Pakistan. An amazing phone, not popular with respect to amazing features and specs, but for the price point, it brings those things. The phone has a successor too, dubbed Honor 9 Lite launched recently, has got Face Unlock Feature with a software update.

Honor 9 Lite has started receiving “Face Unlock” feature via HOTA (Huawei’s Over the Air update). This a speedy rollout and will be completed by March 5, firstly in India. The Face Unlock feature will not be as secure as fingerprint reader but it will surely be very fast. The feature is powered by the combo of Honor 9 Lite’s skin EMUI 8 based on Android Oreo 8.0 and its capable dual camera setup made up of 13 MP and 2 MP lenses. Though the phone features a quad-camera setup and the similar lenses on both front and back dual camera setup as well.
For a refresher, the other traits of the Honor 8 Lite are 18:9 FullView display and the 5.65-inch IPS panel, which is surrounded by minimal bezels. The phone comes with a 3GB of RAM, a 3,000 mAh battery, and 32 GB of internal storage which can be expanded (up to 256 GB) via a MicroSD card thanks to the phone’s dual-sim tray. Honor has also included a 3.5mm headphone jack for the phone. Overall, the Honor 9 Lite is an impressive offering considering its reasonable price-tag.
It is available to purchase in $270 in the UK, Germany, Italy, France, and Spain via Honor’s online store.
Like, the last year’s Honor 8 Lite, this budget-friendly smartphone will also be arriving for emerging markets including Pakistan for roughly PKR 28,000 in soon enough.
